Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G smartphone was launched in August 2014. The phone comes with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is a single SIM (GSM) smartphone that accepts a Regular-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G and 4G. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is powered by 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and it comes with 2GB of RAM. The phone packs 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front camera.

Prerequisites:

  • This new Mokee 71.1 [Official] Android 7.1 Nougat firmware has to be installed on the XiaoMi Redmi Note 4g model only; if tried on other devices, it might get bricked [To check your device model: Go to Settings >> About phone >> model number]
  • Make sure the device is rooted before going forward for custom ROM installation
  • Make sure to back all the data by installing TWRP in the smartphone.
  • Make sure to install USB drivers on the PC.
  • Make sure the device has more than 80 percent battery.
  • If you face force close, go to Settings >> Setupwizard >> Give permission

Step-by-step installation guide

  1. Install custom recovery (TWRP recommended)
  2. Copy custom ROM zip file to sd-card (internal/external)
  3. Boot into recovery mode
  4. Now from recovery menu select backup
  5. Take backup (previous stable)
  6. Now select wipe
  7. Advance wipe & select system, data, dalvik cache, cache
  8. Now, swipe right to confirm wipe
  9. Select install & select Downloaded Mokee rom.zip file
  10. Install success
  11. Now install Gapps
  12. After installing gapps, wipe cache & dalvik cache
  13. Reboot
  14. That’s all , Now enjoy custom Mokee ROM
